Mike Hamilton Is being inducted as a builder tonight in recognition of all that he has brought to R.N.D. Athletics over the past 25 years. From the mid 70's until the later 80's. Mike was iinstrumental in establishing Regi as a force to be reckoned with in Cross Country Running and Track and Field. Under Mike's leadership, R.N.D. sent athletes to compete at All - Ontario events for the first time. Not only did these athletes compete but they also mmedalled in some instances. In the past two Hall Inductions we have added numerous track athletes, including tonight. Their success was founded on the work carried out by Mike Hamilton. Mike Hamilton also coached soccer winning a championship with Abel leading the way. Along with G.R. Williamson, Mike formed the R.N.D. Ski Club that became a very active club. He also was intimately involved with organizing and running intramural programme that eventually grew into the P.A.W. Organization. Truly, Mike Hamilton has been a builder extraordinaire. |

Frank Halligan era 1960-1970 Played football, basketball, track and field at Regiopolis College and Regiopolis-Notre Dame in the late 1960Õs; MVP in Senior Football and Senior Basketball; played on 1966-1967 Midget Basketball Championship team; returned to teach and coach football at Regiopolis-Notre Dame; now teaches at Holy Cross and coaches football at QueenÕs University. |
