I enjoyed building my alarm. I used a buzzer, a membrane switch, a 1.5 volt battery and a box that I made. I also used a toggle switch to turn off when I am out and to turn on when I`m in the house. I made my alarm to either catch my dad or my sister Tara. Making my alarm wasn't easy because I had problems with the connection. My buzzer wasn't loud so I should have added another battery
How it works
I put the switch under the rug and hide the box with the buzzer and the battery.
When somebody steps on the rug to get to my
closet the buzzer will go of and I might hear so I will stop them from opening my closet.
Electricity Unit Design a Personal security Alarm -Evaluation
1) What I learnt from designing a personal security alarm was how to make an alarm and how to make an membrane switch, a circuit with a L.E.D or buzzer.
2)The support task that I found enjoyable was make your on switch. I had fun making the membrane switch. It also helped me to make the big one for my good copy.
3) If I could do a second alarm I would have a L.E.D and another kind of switch instead of the membrane switch that I have know.
4) I found that connecting the wires and having them stay attached to the battery and getting it to work was the problem must of the time.
5) What I enjoyed most about this electricity unit was making my alarm and finding out that all the thing that you do to make circuits and that if you have your own you can make an alarm for your territory.
