Wind Vane!

I enjoyed building my wind vane because it was fun to decorate and test it out to see if it worked. It didn't work too good. Sometimes it wouldn't turn at all but sometimes it would just go crazy! I used purple felt. a dowelling, some purple paper, a box from Angel's Rake and some dirt to hold it down. It was alot of fun because I got to get a picture of my Rain Gage and my Wind Vane together with me in it.

Rain Gage!

I also built a Rain Gage using a Pop Bottle, Marbles, tape, a permanent marker, a ruler and some water. We tried it out on top of the school to see how much water it had rained that day. I am not sure how much water went into the Rain Gage but it wasn't that much. The next day when we went to get them back most of the marbles in Megan's Rain Gage fell out. I couldn't get all of them back in because it was raining and I didn't want to get wet. I think it held about 3/4 of water but i'm not sure.
