Dual Credit Programs

What are Dual Credit programs?

  • Dual Credit programs are ministry-approved programs that allow students, while they are still in secondary school, to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards both the Ontario Secondary school diploma (OSSD) and a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree, or an apprenticeship certification.

Program Goals

  • Introduce students to a variety of career options within various sectors
  • Help students in making appropriate career choices before they enter post-secondary studies
  • Assist secondary students in the completion of their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
  • Help successful transitioning to college and apprenticeship programs
