Students and staff at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School received some very generous and heartfelt donations this year to the Grade 11 & 12 collection for Hurricane Matthew Relief Efforts in Haiti, as well as the Grade 9 & 10 collection for the Salvation Army Christmas hampers.
On Monday, December 19 teams of students and staff sorted the $1,400 of groceries in 20 hampers in the chapel. They also added perishables (Margarine, bacon, and frozen pies) and inserted a gift certificate into each box just before they headed out to deliver them to the homes of local families, who were very appreciative at the doors.
Thank you to all Holy Cross student and staff volunteers for your contributions and generosity at this time of year.
