From sunshine to downpours of rain, nothing could stop the 2016 NCC Relay for Life teams achieve their goals. On May 19 from noon to midnight, over 200 Nicholson Catholic College students participated in various events for their 2016 Relay for Life.
Twenty-five teams of about 10 students each set out to raise $1,000 per team. The NCC community well exceeded this goal, raising over $30,000 to support the Canadian Cancer Society.
Students and staff participated in various activities throughout the day, such as tug-of-war, slip and slide, yoga, throwing pie in their teacher's face, boys waxing their legs and many more.
During these activities, at least one team member was walking around the field at all times.
In the evening, NCC Relay for Life welcomed special guests and participated in a survivor's walk.
