Students from St. Thomas More Catholic School shone like the bright stars they are, at the annual Sistema Kingston's year-end concert celebration. The event was held at the Jennifer Velva Bernstein Performance Hall in the Isabel Bader Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, May 4.
The Star Wars themed performance was the culmination of an intensive after school music mentoring program, taught by Music students from Queen's University and Sistema Kingston volunteers.
The aim of the experience was to immerse students with an strong interest in music into the world of live performance through practice, music theory and interaction with a live audience. ALCDSB is very proud of the outcome of this partnership with Sistema and looks forward to the great work it will bring in the future.
