Congratulations to Kristen Hannafin on being the recipient of the Stewardship of Creation Award 2023! The St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School teacher was nominated for being a long standing, behind the scenes, environment leader within her school community.

She kept environmental sustainability active and alive in our school wherever possible during the pandemic by keeping up with our recycling program and continuing to manage our Eco Schools program”. A long-standing member of the Environmental Education Management & Advisory Committee (EEMAC) and a key member of the planning and coordinating team for the Best Foot Forwarded Conference, Kristen has fostered a culture of sustainability through her leadership.
Kristen is an inspiration to her students and colleagues. Central to her approach as an educator, Kristen upholds student voice and works hard to create the next generation of advocates, activists, and leaders.
