JJ O'Neill and St. Pat's Girls Just Want to Have Fun

May 10, 2015

The grades 4-6 girls from J.J. O'Neill and St. Patrick Catholic School ended Catholic Education Week on a high note! The girls participated in the first (and hopefully annual) "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" evening.  The event was a celebration of 6 months of weekly meetings spearheaded and led by grade 4/5 teacher Danielle Kennedy where the girls discussed many topics including inclusion, bullying, how media images portray young girls and the value of being true to your faith.

The girls participated in 4 rotations including a dance rotation led by Holy Cross dance teacher Shannon Perugino, a drama rotation led by Jennifer Smith and Allison Barrett of St. Theresa CSS, a yoga session led by Madame Gowsell and Ms. McGregor assisted in the karaoke rotation.

The evening was a huge success and created many new friendships!
