St. Paul Catholic Secondary Students participate in annual Thinkfast

Students participating in ThinkfastSt. Paul Catholic Secondary Guests speaking to studentsSchool students participated in their annual Thinkfast to raise funds for the Catholic Organization for Development and Peace on Thursday, March 3, 2016.  They stayed overnight at the school and went without solid foods for 24 hours to demonstrate solidarity with the poor and raised $1769.80 for Development and Peace.  They also welcome guest Ary Regis, a Development and Peace partner who works in improving communications in Haiti as they continue rebuilding following the devastating earthquake of 2010. “Development and Peace has journeyed alongside us for the last twenty five years. They were there with us through the earthquake and are helping us rebuild.” Ary shared with the students.  “Your gesture of going without food is very powerful in demonstrating that you are with us!”   The students learned that their funds go to projects by the people and for the people in the Global South truly living the Church’s social teachings
