We are excited to introduce the ALCDSB Land Acknowledgement banner. Each school has received a banner to include in their school's welcoming space as a reminder of our treaty relationships. Saying the Land Acknowledgement daily invites us to reflect on the history of Turtle Island, to honour those who cared for it first, and to treat the land with care and respect. We were honoured to have Gosia Rutkowska, Special Assignment Teacher for Indigenous Education,  Student Trustees Ella Hsu and Mikaela Dewey, along with Chair Tom Dall unveil these beautiful new banners to our board of Trustees on December 15, 2020.
