From slides in the shape of leaves to stump seating, students at Georges Vanier Catholic School in Belleville are designing their own playground, as part of the Come Alive Outside Design Challenge.

The Come Alive Outside Design Challenge created the opportunity for teams of post-secondary and elementary school students to work together with landscape professionals to design and build engaging outdoor learning environments for schools and childcare facilities.

In partnership with the Come Alive Outside and Landscape Ontario, Wentworth Landscapes hosted the 2018 Design Challenge.

On October 18-20th students from Algonquin College, Fanshawe College, Guelph University, Seneca College, Niagara College and Niagara Parks School of Horticulture participated in a design charrette with students and community leaders to create initial concepts for a natural play area at the First Adventure Child Development Centre at Georges Vanier Catholic School.

In 2019 Wentworth Landscapes will work with the First Adventure Child Development Centre to initiate construction of the space.
