St. Peter Catholic School recognized for their commitment to physical activity

Collage of Ultimate Play Day photos.jpgSt. Peter Catholic School, Trenton has been recognized for their efforts to prioritize physical activity in their school community. As recipients of the Hero of Play contest, Canadian Tire and the Canadian Olympic Committee sponsored an Ultimate Play Day, with 10 outdoor activities, such as Capture the Flag, soccer baseball, relay races and more.

In addition to the Ultimate Play Day,  Canadian Olympian Jayna Hefford joined St. Peter school community to further inspiring active schools.

Canadian Tire and the Canadian Olympic Committee created the 'Hero of Play' program to motivate and celebrate individuals who make physical activity a priority.

Schools across Canada were challenged to demonstrate how they get physical active for a chance to win an Ultimate Play Day. Schools were required to submit stories, photos and/or videos.

Congratulations to St. Peter Catholic School for inspiring your school community to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.

Thank you to MPP Lou Rinaldi, Mayor Jim Harrison, Chair  Brisbois, Superintendent Slack, representatives from Canadian Tire Trenton and Jayna Hefford for joining St. Peter Catholic School for this day of celebration.
