Students create rosaries

June 02, 2015

Students show their rosaries.Students in Ms. Auciello's grade 4/5 class and Ms. Baker's grade 4 class at St. Gregory Catholic School in Picton recently created rosaries.  The activity was well suited for the month of May as it is considered a time that Christians devote to our Blessed Mother.  Using pony beads, yarn, string, and a cross, the students assembled their rosaries with the guidance of Mike Gundert, Special Assignment Teacher, Religious Education.  Students enjoyed the experience and look forward to using their rosaries in the months ahead.   Pope Francis describes the rosary as "a spiritual medicine for all that is good for your heart, for your soul, for your whole life."
