We hope that graduates, their families and RND Staff, will join us for Mass at 12 o’clock noon on Thursday, June 27th (St. John the Apostle Parish - 88 Patrick St.) This is a great way for families and extended family to share in the excitement of the day by giving thanks for four years of Secondary Catholic Education and praying for their future. New Students’ Council will also be commissioned for their big job ahead in 2019-2020 at this mass, and their family is welcome to attend as well!
Students who did not submit their volunteer hours by May 31st have been removed from the Graduation List and a message has been sent to those homes via phone or email. Those hours are a requirement of the OSSD.
This year’s grade twelve students completed a Grad Intent form on D2L. With this form, students indicated whether they intend to participate in the graduate ceremony, their graduation gown size, their number of attendees, and their plans for next year.
Also, this year’s graduation fee is $30; it covers gown rental and graduation group photo. To confirm their participation in graduation, students were required to pay this fee using School Cash Online.
Gowns can be picked up the day before graduation, from 11:30am to 2:30pm in the Upper Room. Or gowns can be picked up the day of graduation, from 3:30pm to 4:15 pm. Grad mass takes place at St. John church at noon. Grads will assemble at 4:30 pm in the Common for their graduation class photo. Graduation will begin at 6:00pm.
Graduates are encouraged to donate their uniforms to REgiWear. This is a great way to donate back to your school and recycle your uniform. Many future and present students will benefit from your donation to the used-uniform shop. ALL funds generated from the sales will be used to help our students (ex. school supplies, bursary award at graduation, food, clothing, extracurricular participation, and post secondary applications, etc).
