Dear Parent/Guardian:

Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School always holds the safety and well-being of our students as our primary concern.  For this reason, I am writing to you today to make you aware of a Hold and Secure that was initiated today by Kingston Police at 12:00 p.m. 

 During this time, a Hold and Secure Procedure was imposed as part of our Caring and Safe Schools Policy and Procedure. A Hold and Secure response is activated when there is a threat to school safety in the area, but no immediate danger within the school building.

 Kingston Police did indicate there was an incident unrelated to the school in the neighbourhood.  We took the information seriously and took all safety precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

The Hold and Secure was lifted at approximately 12:40 p.m.
