Did you know that only 9% all of plastic produced in Canada each year is actually recycled. As a result, it is estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by weight. We need to do something! How can you help reduce plastic waste? Try making simple changes in your everyday life to reduce your plastic footprint. Every action, even small ones, count! Bring your own cloth bags to the grocery store, buy more bulk food and fewer packaged products, replace your plastic Tupperware containers for glass or steel containers, and try and avoid single use plastics, like straws.
