The ALCDSB Releases Year Three of their Multi-Year Strategic Plan

MYSP Year 3 graphicNapanee, ON The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board have released an update on year three of their five-year strategic plan. 

The Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) was developed in 2020 by a diverse stakeholder group which included ALCDSB staff, parents, school board trustees, and representatives from; Queen’s University, St. Lawrence College, Loyalist College, the Military - CFB Kingston, the Archdiocese of Kingston, the United Way, Pathways to Education, and Tri-Board.The feedback received from this group provided the ALCDSB guidance on establishing their vision, mission, and values statements and provided a clear direction on how to reach the goals associated with the priorities of the board. 

​“The MYSP is a guide to ensure that all members of the ALCDSB illuminate the unique vision, mission, and priorities of the Board, said David DeSantis, Director of Education for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. ​

As we move into the third year of our strategic plan, I am excited and encouraged by the progress being made. The key actions and strategies within our four priorities of Faith, Equity and Well-being, Achievement and Innovation, and Resource Management, respectively promote our yearly pastoral themes, nurture equity of outcomes for both staff and students, creates conditions for student achievement and innovation, and builds a culture that ensures the effective and efficient management of our human and capital resources”.

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12,000 students, employs over 1,400 full-time equivalent staff, and covers a geographical area of more than 16,000 square kilometers.
