The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation (ALCEF) has received a donation from this year's 19th Annual Director's Charity Golf Tournament. Chair of ALCEF, Tom Dall, accepted a cheque for $20,600 at the September 26 Board Meeting. This is the largest amount that the golf tournament has raised to date.
The 19th Annual Director's Charity Golf Tournament was held on July 13, 2017 at Loyalist Golf & Country Club in Bath. There were 144 participants. This annual tournament is a key contributor to the funds raised each year for the ALCEF.
The ALCEF helps families within the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board who need financial assistance in times of challenge, with unexpected expenses such as eye glasses, medical supplies, food, clothing, and transportation.
Robert Koubsky, Superintendent of Finance and Business Services thanked staff members, volunteers, and senior administrators for their contribution and dedication to making this year's charity golf tournament the most successful yet.
